The Wrights are one of those bands that isn’t widely well-known, and for their sake I would love for them to grow and be huge, yet I selfishly want them to stay grass-roots and small so I can keep the secret of their amazing music to myself. They’re a husband and wife group who I first saw open for Loretta Lynn in 2003 and was blown away. They’ve got the most amazing bluesy/country/folksy harmonies and amazing lyrics. Most of their songs are their originals but they did an entire album of remakes of classic country songs and it is one of my favorite albums I’ve ever heard.
