So for those who don’t follow me on Instagram and didn’t see how our 100 Days of Summer started out, it was not the best way to kick off an exciting summer of swimming and fun. On noon of the first day, this happened:
Rhett’s leg broke and we ended up in the E.R. all afternoon. Luckily, it was a clean break and hadn’t displaced, but it was still really terrible looking and he was in a lot of pain. If you’d had a toddler break a leg before, than I’m sure you can empathize at how hard our summer started out. It was bad. I feel really grateful that a friend of mine’s daughter had been through the same thing about 6 months before and she was awesome about guiding me as to what doctor’s to use and how to keep him entertained and as pain free as possible. I’m always so grateful for other moms who reach out and lend a hand.
So this is how Rhett spent the rest of Memorial Day Weekend, and a lot of the week’s following. He has been thoroughly spoiled by everyone around us and had been brought a lot of treats and toys to keep him entertained. While he was hanging out in the lake house, everyone else got to keep enjoying the sunshine and beautiful weather
It wasn’t our best Memorial Day Weekend (thanks to the broken leg), but it will definitely be one that I will never forget!!!
