Dear Sawyer,
When I was pregnant with you, I remember saying I wanted a crazy little boy with tons of energy and who loved to play. Well, I don’t think there is a child in the world who embodies that more than you. From the moment you wake up to the second you fall asleep you are wiggling, talking, and looking for something to do. I had no idea how much work it would be keeping up with you!
As you begin to notice the world around you more and more, everything is a first, everything is exciting, and a big deal to you. The ducks at the park are worth yelling “DUCKIE! QUACK QUACK!” and hitting me until I look, and if you hear Super Why come on TV you run as fast as you can to see it (I have no idea why he has such an affinity for a spelling show) and dance until the song is over. The sad moments are a big deal too, and it breaks my heart to see that little lip stick out when you get in trouble for trying to play with the DVD player (again). For the most part though, you are the most fun, best little boy I could ever ask for. I hope you keep that passion about things you love for the rest of your life and I hope that I can learn from it!
Love, your Mom
P.S.- Though I find you perfect, I wouldn’t mind if you began sleeping through the night. It would make me a much more fun mom ๐
