I love Easter, it is always one of my favorite holidays. I think I might say that about every holiday, but I really do love Easter! Our Easter was a little crazy this year because my sister’s family was able to come into town last minute and that just made it extra fun for the kids to get to run around together!
I love that my boys have so many sweet girl cousins. Some times I worry that they’ll have no clue how to act around girls or how to be sweet, but luckily I have some of the sweetest nieces in the world. My sisters daughter spent all weekend holding Ford’s hand and leading him around teaching him how to pick flowers and give them to people. I ended up with a big bouquet of Azaleas and Dandelions pretty to take home.
This is just half of the grandkids on my side of the family. I’m at the tail end of my family with only three kids 🙂
Our family’s Easter traditions have changed some over the years, but one thing that has been added since Brandon and I got married, is the IBC’s glass bottles of Root Beer.
In Brandon’s family they got them in their Easter baskets. We, I mean, the Easter Bunny, sometimes puts them in their Easter Baskets and sometimes they’re included in a big family Easter Egg Hunt, which makes them one of the hot items that every kid is trying to find. The most popular thing we did this year, though, was just adding a bubble machine in the backyard after dinner. The kids stayed pretty occupied with spinning and popping the bubbles for hours. The simplest things are usually the ones kids love the most.
This picture is a good example of the difference between boys and girls. I said “look cute!” and got these two faces haha
But I did get this cute one of Sawyer. There’s still some hope from the boys.
