Standout Watch Style

So my last style post was all about style for the kids, now it’s time to focus on us Mommas (and Dads)! Thanks to JORD watches, I was able to treat myself to a little back-to-school season refresh with one of their amazing wood watches. Just go to their website, you’ll see what I’m talking about. So many pretty, natural woods and gorgeous watch faces. I have always liked watches but didn’t think they fitted my “vibe” until I saw these. Most women’s watches are so…boring. I love the look of these. These watches make a statement without being over the top. They represent gorgeous quality and stand out in a fast paced world of cheap novelty accessories. I love that they evoke a feeling of being outdoors and connecting with nature and turn away from the ease of just checking the time on our phones.Wood Watch (4)

I mean, they are absolutely beautiful and unique. Definitely not what you see everyone wearing and yet they are perfect for everyone. They’d make an amazing gift, especially with the holidays coming up and there is always that one person that is impossible to buy for!Wood Watch (3)Wood Watch (1)Wood Watch (2)

I’m sporting the Frankie watch is Koa and Ash. I love the warm wood color and neutral watch face. I love that it literally matches everything in my wardrobe, and all of my jewelry, both golds and silvers. We’ve decided to join a pre-school co-op where each Mom takes a turn teaching twice a week so maybe having a watch will help me to be on my game and manage my time! This will be a good warm up for Kindergarten next year. I am seriously dreading getting up early to get kids on the bus at 7.

Yall definitely need to head to the JORD watches webstie and see the beautiful variety of womens and mens watches and what’s even better is JORD is giving away a $75 e-gift code to one of my readers to use on their website AND any you get a $20 coupon just for entering, so no one loses! Just head to the link here for the super easy giveaway sign-up! Good luck!

Spring Style for Wanderers and Explorers

I received complimentary product from Orvis for this reviewDSC_0523
Yesterday we went down to the boardwalk in our town to get outside and enjoy some of this Spring weather! When I was a little girl, the boardwalk was one of my favorite places to go. There’s two boardwalks connected to walking trails through the woods and the water changes from creek level to at times over flowing the boardwalk depending on how much rain we’ve had. You almost always see wildlife, from deer and beavers to snakes and fish. We only saw a few geese this time, but we found some deer and raccoon tracks when we went off the trail.DSC_0661

For our outings, it’s so important for me to be able to move easily and chase after my three boys. Being a mom of three kids three and under isn’t the easiest job in the world, and I love being outside and active with them, the last thing I need are clothes that make it harder. I love this outfit for transitioning to Spring and I’m obsessed with my new bag I got from Orvis.  I’m not a very good “stay at home” stay at home Mom, we’re always going somewhere and I love the Orvis shop for clothes that I can get out and about in easily. They’ve got tons of cute but comfy clothes for wanders and explorers and their new Spring collection is perfect for those spontaneous road trips with girl friends or glamping at the lake. I love that all the clothes they sell work great with the clothes I already have and if they get rained on or we take a spontaneous swim in a creek, it’s no biggie, they’re made for that. Can’t you just see your self riding shotgun in a Jeep with the top down in their Travel dress?

My bag is their Nubuck Crossbody Bag which is the perfect size for taking just a few essentials that I have to have with my boys. It fits my keys, my phone, diapers, wipes and I love that it is a cross over so I can have my hands free to chase boys, take pictures, and not fuss with a big bag. I love the size because I can put it in my diaper bag too if I want and then grab it when we leave the car and go.

Boho Waves with TRESemmé

Lately I’ve seen so many cute hair styles with wavy, beachy boho curls that have tons of volume. My hair gets so weighed down from using hydrating conditioners in the winter that it’s hard to get get that beach-y voluminous style. I’ve been looking for something new to try, and thanks to TRESemmé, I tried out their new Beauty-Full Volume line. It’s made specially to use in reverse order- you condition first to soften the hair, and then the shampoo washes away the weight so you can have full, touchable volume. They numbered the bottles to make it super easy to know what to use when.

After showering, I used the Beauty-Full Volume Hair Maximizer before I blow-dried to make my hair extra light and frizz-free without falling flat. It smells so good. I thought that since my hair is naturally very frizzy, that using a volumizing product line and blow-drying would give me a lot of frizz, but surprisingly, my hair actually looked really good after blow-drying and had no frizz, even though I hadn’t used a flat iron on it. I loved how soft my hair felt after blow-drying.

Next, I barrel curled my hair to give it that beachy look, but I didn’t need to use any kind of volumizing sprays or scrunch it up like I usually do. I simply curled it and finished it off with TRESemmé’s Beauty-Full Volume Hair Finishing Spray which gave it a great finishing touch without being crunchy. My hair felt so light and bouncy, which meant I felt light and bouncy! For the rest of the day my hair looked great and didn’t fall flat like it usually does. I loved how soft my hair felt too. I am hooked on TRESemmé’s reverse shampoo and conditioner! The line also has a mousse that I can use when I leave my hair naturally curly. I’ve tried so many curly hair products and it’s so hard to find ones that don’t leave your hair crunchy and glossy. TRESemmé’s Beauty-Full Volume mousse leaves a great touchable bounce.

GB Lyfe Travel System

This post was sponsored by @GBChildUsa as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central. I received the GB Lyfe Pram Travel System to facilitate my review. All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.GB_Lyfe_travel_system (1)

Going into the baby mode again last fall, I wanted to make sure I had the baby gear to be able to keep up with our busy lives, but also welcome Ford with loving arms. I knew with three kids three and under, I would need some top notch gear to keep up but I also wanted to be able to look good doing it all. When I found the GB Lyfe Travel System that comes with the car seat, base, and stroller sold at Babies ‘R’ Us, I knew I had to share it with you guys. I have been in love with it since mine came.GB_Lyfe_travel_system (2)GB_Lyfe_travel_system (3)

One of the first things I noticed was that the whole set looks good. I love how simple the design is, which is part of what makes it so stylish and sleek. It also made it really easy to put together, even all by myself. The base was super easy to install and makes putting Ford in and out of the car a breeze. GB_Lyfe_travel_system (4)

With my first two boys, I moved them from an infant carrier to a rear-facing car seat really quickly because it was so hard to carry them in the infant carrier. The way that the handle is shaped on the GB car seat is so comfortable that I can carry my 20 pounds baby around without it being awkward and uncomfortable. I love how plush the car seat is too, it seems like he’s riding in a little cloud!GB_Lyfe_travel_system (5)

One of my favorite features about the stroller is that you can either just click the car seat into it or use the stroller insert as a pram or upright seat. When I had my first, I searched everywhere for a pram stroller. They are so classic and stylish and they were so hard to find. I’m so glad I was able to get the GB Lyfe with Ford  and take him anywhere and he’ll be comfortable. I think the husband’s favorite part is how easy it is to open-up and click in either the car seat or pram/stroller seat. He’s probably gotten sick over the years of me asking him to lug heavy strollers up and set them up for me.

GB_Lyfe_travel_system (6)GB_Lyfe_travel_system (8)

This one clicks together so easily and is the smoothest push I have ever felt. The brake is really easy to put on a take off too. This is by far the most comfortable stroller I’ve ever pushed. When you have three kids, it’s hard enough just to go out and about with them, the last thing I need is the stroller wheels locking up and skidding (that drives me crazy!) or it being too hard for me to set up with one hand.GB_Lyfe_travel_system (11)GB_Lyfe_travel_system (12)

Now that Ford’s trying to sit up more, I love that once he’s awake, I can simply press a button to raise the pram into an upright seat and clip the foot rest so he can sit up and see the world. It’s so nice that he can face out or face me if misses Mom. It’s great for going to the park so he can watch his big brothers play and look at the ducks, and it comes with an awesome hidden compartment on the canopy that has an extra sun shade in case it gets too bright or he falls asleep.GB_Lyfe_travel_system (13)GB_Lyfe_travel_system (9)

The GB Lyfe travel system is available at Babies ‘R’ Us in both Charcoal (like mine) and a pretty Merlot. If you want your baby to be riding in style, this is the travel system for you!

Maybe not according to the calendar, but the flowers are starting to bloom, the grass is turning green, and there are birds in our backyard every morning flying everywhere and eating things off the ground.
