Things Moms Really Want for Valentine’s Day

This is my third year as a mom on Valentine’s Day. While the fancy restaurants and expensive dinners of my past were wonderful, here’s what I really want for Valentine’s Day.

1. A Nap- Forget fancy dinner, take the kids to Chick-fil-a and let me stay behind to sleep for two hours. That’s romance right there.

2. This Valentine.
Speaking of Chick-fil-a, this Valentine’s day above looks pretty dang perfect, Polynesian Sauce, please.

3. A Gym Membership
Nope, that won’t offend me. I gotta work off this baby weight somewhere. Bonus points if it has a nursery.

4. Cool Sunglasses.
That way when we go to the park at 1 o’clock still in our PJ’s, at least no one can see that I still have on yesterdays make-up too.

5. Make Me Something From Pinterest.
Get on my laptop, go to Pinterest and look at what I’ve pinned to my “DIY’s I’m going to Make” folder. Goodness knows I’ll never have time to make that Pottery Barn inspired shelf.

6. Chocolate.
Doesn’t have to be fancy, just edible, and non-shareable.

7. Cheesy Movie Night.
That’s right. You, me, and a Nikolas Sparks movie.

That sounds like a winning Valentine’s Day to me! What about you other Moms out there? What are you really hoping to get for Valentine’s Day?
